After knowing update status for OpenOffice.Org 2.4 would be released in last March, it was time to prepare updating these packages from OOo mirror of openSUSE (I’m using openSUSE 10.3 right now). Unfortunately, there were no signs whether these available to be updated or not– there are labeled with blue color in Package list of YaST Software Management if there is available a new version, such these Wine packages status:

. After adding new repository (which is still unstable) to YaST Software Repositories, OpenOffice.org 2.4.0.0 is available to be downloaded via YaST Software Management. And now these packages are in in 2.4.0.6 version which have been installed in my machine.. 
One question that I still don’t have the answer is where i can find the release note of this (and other) openSUSE pre-compiled packages*, does the openSUSE Developer (or Novell) announce it? It’ll be very useful if they do it, so we can know (and learn) about the additional features or bug fixes available in each new version, even it’s a minor changes.. Or I have to joint to the openSUSE developer mailing list?

You can always look at the upstream sources and website to find the release notes, which in your case is in http://download.openoffice.org (in case of OOo application)

Yup! You’re right.. Thanks Will, I’m amazed you’ve made very much contribution (especially) to this country.. It gives me more courage to still love and live in this country..
