I need to write down this post, because it’s important when some tutorial I write needs more information refer to what hardware platform– processor that is used or size of my main memory machine, what kind of graphic adapter that it’s powered, etc– I’m using in those tutorials. So, the reader of this blog can consider on how to follow my tutorials correctly.
Almost all my posts are taken from many events that occur in my laptop– how things make some errors, how it’s important to report, and usefull to be documented. And it’s of course written in this laptop too..
Ok, lets see then how I describe my own machine in this my favorite blog..
The Factory
It’s named Acer-Aspire 5620.
The Processor
The brain is Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo Processor T2300 (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache).
Main Memory
It only needs 512MB DDR2 (support dual channel) to run KDE 4.0.4 smoothly..
Graphic Adapter
ATI Mobility(TM) Radeon(R) X1300 has had driven Compiz Fusion impressively.
The Screen
Has clear sight with 15.4″ WXGA CrystalBrite LCD (16ms).
The Hard Drive
All my files are stored in this HDD 60GB 5400rpm.
The Removable Media Drive
I can get some files from this DVD/CD-RW Combo.
I’ll give it some updates soon about further information of this laptop how it runs Linux (especially openSUSE) perfectly.
