As mentioned here, the official release note of OpenOffice.Org 2.4.1 is already announced today. And for openSUSE users, you’ll be able to get it by adding STABLE, EXTRAS, and UNSTABLE OpenOffice.Org Repositories to YaST Software Repositories–you can also perform this using Zypper. After that just hint YaST Software Management (from YaST window that already opened previously) and go to Filter section then select Search option, and then type: openoffice. You can see (again) the available update packages are colored by blue. Just easily click your right mouse button in packages list section and select from menu appeared, All in this list > Update if newer version available. To download and install the packages, you can just enter the Accept button then. (more…)

KDE 4.0.5 is the fourth monthly update to KDE 4.0. It ships with a basic desktop and many other packages; like administration programs, network tools, educational applications, utilities, multimedia software, games, artwork, web development tools and more. [It had been written two weeks ago (in May), but (for some reasons) I just can publish it today, sorry for the delay]
I found the way how to get Firefox 3.0 for openSUSE 10.3, so I thought about adding the repository to YaST Software Repositories, and bingo!!.. I had it, it’s beta version though, but it’s stable enough for me. Even its integration to KDE 4.0.4 was not good enough, but I feel it’s faster than Firefox 2.0.4, and of course lots of smart and usable features. I’m satisfied very much. (more…)
